The Sound Oasis plays six sounds: Ocean Surf, Stream, Rain, White Noise, Summer Night and Wind. New sounds can be added for additional cost. Most owners do not find adding such cards necessary or cost effective.

The product features a timer with four settings: continuous, 30, 60 or 90 minute with gentle off.

Virtually all owners say that the Sound Oasis provides seamless loops. In other words, you cannot notice when the sound loop repeats itself, and this results in a less distracting, more relaxing experience.

Most owners are pleased with the volume capability and noise-masking ability of the sound.

Owners appreciate that the product does not have a light source, which can be an annoyance when trying to sleep.

The product is capable of running on 4 AA batteries. And while it is compact, its relatively high weight (3.5 lbs) diminishes its travel friendliness.

Some owners report that the product turns on unexpectedly, but overall reliability does not seem to be an issue with the clear majority of owners.
