Satisfaction
While the vast majority of owners are satisfied with their bolster dog bed, those who were not satisfied said the product was too small for their dog, not durable enough (gets chewed, torn, wears easily) and or too thin / not enough cushion.
Durability
Owners say that the dog beds tend to have good overall durability / longevity both in terms of normal wear and being able to withstand minor chewing. A moderate or aggressive chewer, however, could destroy the product quickly.
Average price paid
Almost all owners say that they paid less than $50. The larger the bed the more expensive it will be.
Value
Given their comfort, reasonable durability and moderate price, the product is generally considered by owners to be a solid value.
Dog size
Bolster dog beds are used by owners of mostly small and medium-sized dogs.
Ease of cleaning
Owner reviews on this issue are mixed. Cleaning generally involves putting the entire bed into the washing machine or removing one or more covers for washing.
Padding
These pet beds generally have substantial padding. However, a lack of adequate padding or enough quality padding is a complaint of some owners.
Appearance
They often are available in a wide variety of colors and designs.
Indoor / outdoor
Most owners use them for indoors, but waterproof outdoor models are available.
Travel friendly
Their size and weight make them no better than a fair travel companion.
Lightweight
They tend to weigh somewhat more on average than other types of dog beds.
