The other
activity beside sleep that often takes place on a bed is sex.
Therefore, how well a bed is suited for sex can be an important
factor when choosing a bed.
Based
on the data, about 60% of memory foam mattress owners of various
brands who commented on the subject thought that the mattress
was good for sex or at least no worse than other types of
beds. The other 40% thought it was bad for sex. (Interesting
side note: some memory foam mattress owners love the bed for
sex but hate it for sleep, and vice versa.)
It seems that those who are willing to adjust their sexual
practices to suit the bed, as opposed to fighting it, are
more happy with its suitability for love making.

Disadvantages
of sex on a memory foam mattress
Impedes "active" sex
Some owners say that the way a person sinks into the foam provides
too much "traction." This discourages partners from
moving around and changing positions often. They claim that
the bed is suited better for less movement and staying in the
same position.
Requires more energy
Similar to the above point, owners say that because of the traction
or sinking-in effect of the bed, you can tire more quickly if
you try to move around a lot. Some even complained of cramping
and pulled muscles.
Has no bounce
Since a memory foam mattress bed has little or no motion transfer,
it has little or no bouncing effect. Some owners say this makes
it hard to get into a rhythm.
Advantages of sex on a memory foam mattress
Allows for more discrete sex
This means that because the mattress is heavy, absorbs motion
and does not bounce, the bed moves little during sex, according
to owners. Unlike an innerspring mattress, there is no squeaking
or noise coming from the mattress. This allows sex to take place
with no one in the next room being aware of it. This could be
especially beneficial for parents who seek to keep their intimate
moments secret from their kids.
Allows for new, different positions
Owners say that the memory foam bed provides better control
or "traction" because of the way you sink into it.
This means the bed allows people to have sex in positions that
they could not perform on other types of beds.
Is more comfortable
According to some owners, the mattress bed gives enough so that
your knees, butt, elbows, hands, etc. don't get sore. This allows
a person to stay in certain position longer without fatigue
or discomfort.
Allows for faster climax
Some claim that the bed's traction allows for more "efficiency,"
resulting in faster and easier climax.
