Airbeds
Sleep Number / Select
Comfort has few reports, according to our research,
about off gassing. Comfortaire
has more reports of off gassing, but the issue does not seem
to be widespread.
Memory foam beds
Memory foam mattresses typically have the greatest problem
with initial odor, according to our research.
Waterbeds
Waterbeds do not have an initial odor problem to speak of.
Latex beds
Off gassing seems to be limited with this type of mattress.
Innerspring / coil mattresses
Innerspring beds are capable of having an off gassing problem,
but reports are not widespread.
