Firmness
Owners overall say that the pillows have high firmness, yet are capable of being somewhat soft on the head and ears.

Support
Owners indicate that the pillows hold their shape at least reasonable well during the night, resulting in average or better support. Cotton pillows generally conform to a fair degree to the contours of one’s head, neck and body. Their ability to contour can be undermined, say owners, if they become lumpy or if the distribution of the cotton collects on one side of the pillow.

Loft
Owners say overall that the pillows have medium loft.

Durability / longevity
Cotton offers good toughness. However, owners indicate that the pillows tend to flatten and sag significantly over time.

Sleeping positions
They can be suitable for back and side sleepers. However, they are usually too firm and lofty for stomach sleepers.

Pain issue
They perform about average in their ability to reduce pain, such as neck pain. Some owners say that the high firmness causes discomfort.

Noise
They are quiet.

Air flow
Cotton offers decent breathability and absorbency to help regulate one’s sleeping temperature.

Weight
The pillows tend to be above average in weight.

Odor
They seldom have any smell to speak of when new.

Allergies
100% cotton pillows are completely free of allergens, synthetics and chemicals. However, they are particularly susceptible to dust mites because they tend to retain moisture.

Maintenance

Owners say that they are easily cared for and can be machine washed and dried.

Price
They tend to be low to moderately priced.
